From 25th to 27th of March KERIC organized a training for two new volunteers after their arrival. We chose non-traditional form for this activity. We had more trainers than participants. Entire KERIC team with the leader Maia Pophusen participated on the organization of the training. Each member of KERIC team was responsible for one activity.

From 12th to 16th of November, we will greet people from Germany, Denmark, Latvia, Italy, Great Britain, Czech Republic and Slovakia in KERIC. During the seminar we will discuss within the topic European voluntary service about how to get higher quality of voluntary projects and expand them to new countries of the world and so we could provide this opportunity of personal development as much as possible to the young people in Slovakia.

From 20th to 24th October 2009 we greeted 10 representatives of youngster´s organizations from the entire world in KERIC. They came to educate in English, in computers and everything about European voluntary service. The participants trained conversation and gained real EVS experience from volunteers during evening activities.

My name is Melisa, and I am from Uruguay.

will be working. I will be teaching Spanish language in Keric, working in public school developing art classes and working and living three days a week in a village near Cadca called Klokochov. In this place I will be working with children at school and spare centre also, at school helping in the english classes and cultural exchange, playing with them and part of the experience is always having the possibility of developing new projects. Some of them are: English classes for children, sports such as: horse riding, swimming, jokey and skiing.

I am 100 per cent sure that this experience is one of those that changes your life completely in a very positive way! Since I am here I have known people from all over and everyone try to hep you and make you feel at home.

Ahoj!

My name is Maie, and I'm 21 years old.
I'm German, but I live in Italy (now in čadca )  :)
I always dreamt of doing some kind of volunteering abroad, but I never had the nerves to do it, until this year.
I just finished school and so I decided to take advantage of this occasion.
I was really lucky to find this project on the internet and to finally join KERIC in čadca!
My first weeks here are going on perfectly, because I'm doing what I like the most:
BEING IN CONTACT WITH PEOPLE WITH DIFFERENT CULTURES and ORGANIZING ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN.
In my opinion everyone should try this kind of experience, because it really helps to grow and to feed our general knowledge.
I would write a lot of stuff about everything that happened since my arrival, but I don't have enough time and enough fingers. :)
So good luck to everyone!
ciao!
Maie
