KERIC supports this type of project - sending persons for a three-month intership in the fields of stylist and sport instructor to England - for the first time. The project will take place in the city of Lancaster in a high school, which is devoted to train in these professions. So young people will be able to acquire new experience in the field.
The second option is located Portugal. There are possibilities to do a work placement in the tourism sectors and to work in various positions of the hotel. For more than ten years we are already broadcasting volunteers from around the world with the support of the Youth in Action. At the moment, volunteers, which we sent abroad are in Russia, Costa Rica , Portugal, Brazil, France and Italy. To know more and go up to a year abroad in China, Vietnam, Nepal, Uganda, Brazil, Uruguay, Costa Rica or anywhere in Europe, come to an informational meeting for the European Voluntary Service on the 4th of October at 10:00 in KERIC.
We have decided to widen our cooperation among non-profit organisations in Europe (France, Italy, the Czech Republic and Slovakia) and in Asia (Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Cambodia) in the field of volunteering.
Closely to the holidays, KERIC lived by English. 12 youth workers from Poland, Czech and Slovak Republic came to study English for 7 days, to improve their work with computers and work with youngsters.
Within the project Youth in Action in sub-action Youth Initiative we were first time approved project in which we will cooperate with Polish organization from city Torun.
On the 1st May 2012 we approved two projects of European Voluntary Service. In one we sent two girls Janka Magátová and Simon NOVÁKOVÁ for 1 month to Portugal. Their project has been successfully completed.
Thanks to the approval of the project STEPS TOWARDS CHANGE - NEXT STEP under the Youth in Action sub-Action 3.2 of the Youth in the world, we will be able to visit our partner organizations in Costa Rica, Uganda, Poland, Vietnam and Turkey.
Our "old" partner from previous projects, the non-profit organization Global Footsteps from England, is our "new" partner within the project "Learning through volunteering". The project is realised thanks to the Grundvig - Learning partnerships programme. Apart from Global Footsteps, we will also cooperate with partners from Germany, England, Poland and Slovakia. The project will last for 2 years.
We have a new project - ED.HO.C.-EDucational HOliday Centre - approved under the Grundtvig - Learning partnerships programme. It runs from the 1st of September 2012 until the 30th of July 2014 and aims at exchange of experience in organising summer camps for children among the partner organisations of the project.
Just before the end of the holiday season came to KERIC children spend 27 days holiday a little longer to prepare for learning with Volkrom , Majka , Andres , and Ivka LIBOR . Morning were divided into three groups and one angličtinárske chess and honed in chess and English. After a delicious lunch we played together , compete and enjoy the last days of summer . Almost at the end of the summer camp was Around the World in Zákopčie the North Star . Children ( 14 boys and 2 girls ) were each day in a different country . Began in Europe , the next day were in Africa , where they did Volker guide from Kenya , from Africa we sailed on an ocean liner , between the sharks to America , precisely in the middle of Costa Rica , where we mainly sang with Andres . The world 's smallest continent we visited on Tuesday and Wednesday again coldest continent of the world (though really was hot 37 degrees hot day ) Friday in Asia , we produce chopsticks aa try to eat with them ( it's good for the diet ) and finally we return to our home in Europe.
