Our Projects
We have been involved in the Ideas Into Action project for the second year. The project was supported by the ERASMUS + program. KA2, Strategic Partnerships. The project coordinator is our long-term partner Lancaster College. partners from the Netherlands, Lithuania, Italy, and Romania are also involved in the project.
Group of 5 young people came to Poland for the youth-exchange in September 2016 under the leader Anita Labandla from South Africa. The topic was photography and exchange was supported by Visegrád fond.
Our first volunteer project, Creative Youth, supported under the ERASMUS + project, enabled 5 young people to travel to Russia, the Black Sea for three weeks in August 2014, and gain experience working in an international team, leading activities for Russian children.
The QuNeCo project, which was supported by the ERASMUS + project, has been running since October 2014. The project creates a partnership between organizations from Europe: KERIC, Slovakia, AHA, Austria, SEEDS, Iceland and YUPI, Portugal, Asia: Wiselinker, China, JRP, India, and Latin America: ICYE, Honduras, BVBP, Peru, SES Foundation, Argentina.
The project EuroAsian Empowerment is running from October 2013 to September 2014. The partners in this project are four European organizations: KERIC (Slovakia), LINK (Italy), ADICE (France) and Brontosaurus (Czech Republic) and four Asian organizations: DEJAVATO (Indonesia), VSA (Thailand), CSDS (Vietnam) and KYSD (Cambodia).
From 18th September to 14th October three organizations in Kysuce first time hosted volunteers - seniors from Italy. Mrs. Mária was voluntarily helping at Primary school Komenského in Čadca. Every day she came to school after large break and helped teachers in the first grade with art or music education and she also talked about Italy.
When not seen, it is easily forgotten. We do not hope in that. Exactly about this is our new ecological project supported by project of cross-border cooperation between Slovak and Czech Republic. But let´s go from the beginning.
Both, the famous Leonardo da Vinci and also this project of the European Union got their names for the acquisition of professional work experience in another country .
KERIC supports this type of project - sending persons for a three-month intership in the fields of stylist and sport instructor to England - for the first time. The project will take place in the city of Lancaster in a high school, which is devoted to train in these professions. So young people will be able to acquire new experience in the field.
The second option is located Portugal. There are possibilities to do a work placement in the tourism sectors and to work in various positions of the hotel. These work placements are financially secure from the project and will start in February 2014. If you are interested, come to the informational meeting on 25th of October at 10 a.m. in Kericho . If you are not looking for such a professional focus, but you would still like to go abroad and try something new like learn a new language or get to know a new country, we can also give you some information about that.
For more than ten years we are already broadcasting volunteers from around the world with the support of the Youth in Action. At the moment, volunteers, which we sent abroad are in Russia, Costa Rica , Portugal, Brazil, France and Italy. To know more and go up to a year abroad in China, Vietnam, Nepal, Uganda, Brazil, Uruguay, Costa Rica or anywhere in Europe, come to an informational meeting for the European Voluntary Service on the 4th of October at 10:00 in KERIC.
Within the project Youth in Action in sub-action Youth Initiative we were first time approved project in which we will cooperate with Polish organization from city Torun.
On the 1st May 2012 we approved two projects of European Voluntary Service. In one we sent two girls Janka Magátová and Simon NOVÁKOVÁ for 1 month to Portugal. Their project has been successfully completed.
