The 4th annual DOBROrun is behind us. And it was unforgettable.

Starting in the morning, we welcomed runners, families, volunteers, and supporters to Palárikova Street by the Rybka Fountain—people who came not only to exercise but also to help. What began as a one-time running event has turned into a tradition that more and more people look forward to every year.

By the numbers

659 runners lined up at the start, including:

44 brave souls for the 21.5 km Mária Marcibálová Run

83 runners for the 10 km KERICross

98 runners in the 4.5 km City Run

184 runners in the Hobby Run

and 250 children in the kids’ races

More than 150 volunteers and organizers helped make the event a success.

Help That Makes a Difference

We ran TWICE for a good cause—and the results speak for themselves.

💛 Fundraiser for the Children’s Ward at KNsP Čadca

During the 4th annual event, we raised €4,312.70, which will go toward purchasing medical equipment for pediatric patients. Thank you to everyone who contributed—during registration, on-site, and via the transparent account.

🥫 Collection of non-perishable food for people in need

A total of 543 kg of non-perishable food was collected, which the Slovak Red Cross, Čadca Regional Association, will distribute to families in social need and single mothers.

Thank you to the volunteers and organizers

More than 150 volunteers and organizers—that is the foundation on which every DOBRObeh stands. Without them, not a single race would take place, not a single runner would receive a medal, and not a single child would smile at the finish line.

Volunteers guided runners along the course, handed out medals, took photos, helped with registration, cooked and baked, entertained children, and took care of refreshments and logistics—they were simply everywhere they were needed.

Thank you to each and every one of you. You are the heart of DOBRObeh.

Teams were a very important part of this year’s DOBRObeh.

Community plays a significant role in everyone’s life, and it was wonderful to see the power of a shared experience at DOBRObeh. Individual groups prepared diligently for the run, encouraged each other to register, cheered one another on, and enjoyed it together. Many came in matching T-shirts and proudly showed that they belong together and are running under a shared name. Thank you, and we’re already looking forward to next year.
