"Hi, my name is Luke! I am a 26-year-old Slovakian with a deep love for learning, self-development and connecting with others. I come from eastern Slovakia, but I studied in Brno, where I spent more than 6 years. At MUNI I successfully completed my Master's degree in Social Pedagogy and Counselling and Conditioning Training and Applied Kinesiology.
After graduation, I committed myself and worked as a volunteer in France for four months through Workaway - this experience not only improved my French, but also opened doors to fascinating people and new perspectives. Next, my travels took me on a month-long ESC project in Greece - where I spent a month organising a youth festival as part of my first ESC.

Curiosity is my fuel. In my spare time, I record and produce two podcasts. One is Czech-Slovak and the other is English. In both podcasts I conduct interviews on the topics of psychology, psychotherapy, environmental education, non-violent communication, meditation, poetry and more. 🧘🏼
At VCS I led a series of workshops on various topics such as non-violent communication or stress management. The best moment for me was during an improv workshop: whether we were acting out wild skits or pushing ourselves beyond our comfort zone, the experience was full of laughter, surprises, and moments of genuine connection. It wasn't just about improvisation - it was about having fun together, supporting each other, and feeling like we were living more than we expected!
Sometimes we really have to step out of our ordinary selves. Through creative exercises we discovered new and unexpected ways to express who we are.
"I am dedicated to physical and mental health, personal development, social issues, education and mindfulness. When I need to recharge, you'll find me immersed in nature - whether it's hiking in the woods or just reflecting on the beauty of the world around me. I also love poetry and believe that finding meaning in everyday moments can be one of life's greatest joys." - Lukáš Sabol

"How do you pack a bag full of ideas for a month-long volunteer adventure? Luke proved to us that boundaries only exist in our heads and 'if I want to' means 'sure I can! ' Lukas, thank you for all the ideas, talks, workshops, morning meditations and your artistic side that you shared with us. We hope everything you plan and wish for comes true. All the best from us! It's not goodbye, but see you next time sometime." - VCS team
