NOMADA is an intercontinental collaborative project that develops the methodology of experiential learning in nature as a tool that promotes inclusion of diversity and community participation, raising awareness about caring for our environment. This process will enable the development of organizations and professionals, making young people, subjects and communities protagonists.

We want to develop the nature education methodology and use it as a tool for social rescue. The project includes a second part in Morocco, in the countryside of Lahra, where activities will be carried out with educators, young people and adults from the Moroccan community.

For some participants in the training course in Madrid, there will be an opportunity to participate in this depending on availability of places, availability on travel dates, interest and engagement with the topic

4 PARTNERS:

INTellectual Outputs

Within this KA2 project we will produce 2 intellectual outputs:

  • Outdoor Activities Handbook - a document full of tips and tricks about outdoor activities. The handbook will combine various core aspects of outdoor education and will include the activities and outcomes of both mixed mobilities.
  • Online course with 2 modules:
    • focused on preparing participants for outdoor activities and
    • focused on the facilitation of these activities.

2 International training:

1. The International Training is planned to expose young people and youth workers to outdoor learning opportunities and to provide practical knowledge of this methodology through the experiential learning that characterizes it.

Main Objectives:

  • To promote experiential outdoor learning in the personal and collective development of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
  • Demonstrate the potential of experiential outdoor learning to work on issues related to inclusion and diversity.
  • Train both youth workers and youth in participatory tools through processes based on experiential learning in nature.
  • Training of actors involved in the development of experiential learning processes in nature.

Coordinated MOE, organized in Madrid for 30 participants, a mix of youth workers and young people.
