Ahoj! Dovol'te, aby som sa predstavil. Ja som Lucille a mám dvadsat'dva rokov. Som z Británia. I'm originally from Darlington in North-East England. I graduated this summer from Edinburgh University with a degree in German and Philosophy. When I heard of EVS I really felt that was something that would suit me. EVS gives you a wonderful chance to live abroad, gain work experience and meet new people. Then I heard of KERIC and the work they were doing. The mixture of close contact with the local community through teaching, participating in various workshops, and working with a thoroughly mixed group of international volunteers really appealed to me. So here I am at the beginning of my time at KERIC leading my first English lessons and speaking my first words of Slovak and most importantly looking forward to the adventures this year has in store for me.

My mother told me that my real name is Raul Garrido, but you can call me Piki, Manuel Flores, Paiki Zemiak, Peter Kovacik, Paikislav Zemiacovich, Chuan Carlos, or whatever you want. The thing is that i will be here in Cadca per one year, to give you the proper Roack and Rolle... well, Im 81 years old, but I look like little be younger! Well, Im really happy to be here per this year, so i hope that we will meet arround the city... or in the spanish lessons...

My name is Regina and I am 23 years old. I live with my family in Upper Austria in a small town. In my spare time I love to travel, meet friends, read books and spend time with my pets. I decided to go to Slovakia because I want to learn more about other cultures, gain experience and try new things. Here in Cadca I will help children to learn German. I am also in an other school near by Cadca. The village is called Skalite. There I will help the teachers in German and English classes. I am really curios about my time here in Slovakia. For sure this is going to be one of the best decisions I have ever made ...

Ahojte!! Ja sa volam Eva a som z Rakuska. Som dobrovolnička v Kericu. I decided to do EVS because it is a great opportunity to discover a lot about yourself. You find yourself living and working with other volunteers, who have the same motivation to gain new experiences, but at the same time are totally different characters and come from completely different backgrounds. This makes EVS so special to me. Trying to teach kids, teenagers and adults for the first time is a really exciting challenge. And although Slovakia is a neighbouring country of Austria hardly anyone knows anything about it – so close and similar, and at the same time so different and a totally new world! And so far, I can honestly say, that coming here was a great decision!!

Ahoj! Ja se volam Joffrey, som z Francuzka a mam 20 rokov. Yes, I did it: a sentence in Slovak!!! I am really sorry but it will be the only one! So, I am in KERIC for 10 months to accomplish my European Voluntary Service. In France, I studied at the university during 3 years and I wanted to change my life, to discover a new country with a new culture and to meet new people: EVS is the perfect mean and Slovaquia the perfect place for that! And KERIC gives me the possibility to teach English and French to children, so I think it will be a rewarding experience! Cau!

Hellooooooo! My name's Angela, I am 20 and I'm from Italy. What do I like? Eeeeh a lot of things: music, overall. Music everywhere, always, no matter what. And pasta. And pizza. Here, I'm teaching English and Italian in Keric, and during Wednesdays I am in the Korňa' school, to help out with English lessons. I am here because I didn't know which university to attend after my high school and because I needed a break from my studies: my sending organization showed me this project and I was like "oh well, why not!". I'm sure I'll have a great time here in Čadca (as soon as I manage to pronounce it, that's it).

Ahoj! Volam sa Signe. Som 25 rokov. I come from nice and beautiful country called Latvia. I will stay in KERIC for 1 year. Why I choose to be a volunteer in Slovakia, because of the 3 reasons: 1. I love skiing, 2. In Latvia I heard a lot of good things about Keric and people here 3. I wanted to change my life and gain other life experience. 2 days per week I am in Keric where I am teaching english for children (age 4-6). 3 days per week I am in Skalite at school, where I am helping children in Math and English. First weeks are full of many impressions, but I have to say that they are only good impressions and I already love Slovakia!!!! Signe

My name is Nilmar. I'm from Brazil. Since I arrived here I have enjoyed the new people and places. I will give to support in a school in English classes, in Keric I will teach english for children and teenagers. Also I'm preparing a workshop about aviation, drums and percussion. For me, living, sharing, getting to know about Slovakia and people from here and different part of the world is a unique and amazing experience. I'm so happy to be here and I'm sure this "EVS experience" will be a new step in my life!

Ahoj! Ja sa volam Laura a ja som z francuzska. Ja som dobrovolnička v Kericu. I will stay in Cadca for one year to give French lessons for adults and students and English lessons for children. I will also work in schools in Cadca and Skalite, a village near Cadca, to help the English teachers. It is a very good opportunity for me to get to know a new country and a new langage, and to meet people from all over the world! For the moment I enjoy my activities in Keric and I am looking forward to travelling all around Europe!

Ahoj! My name is Maie, and I'm 21 years old. I'm German, but I live in Italy (now in čadca) :) I always dreamt of doing some kind of volunteering abroad, but I never had the nerves to do it, until this year. I just finished school and so I decided to take advantage of this occasion. I was really lucky to find this project on the internet and to finally join KERIC in čadca! My first weeks here are going on perfectly, because I'm doing what I like the most: BEING IN CONTACT WITH PEOPLE WITH DIFFERENT CULTURES and ORGANIZING ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN. My name is Melisa, and I am from Uruguay. I will be teaching Spanish language in Keric, working in public school developing art classes and working and living three days a week in a village near Cadca called Klokochov. In this place I will be working with children at school and spare centre also, helping in the english classes and cultural exchange, playing with them. I am 100 per cent sure that this experience is one of those that changes your life completely in a very positive way! Since I am here I have known people from all over and everyone try to help you and make you feel at home.

Ahoj, My name is Hanna. I am 18 years old and come from Leipzig in Germany. I am looking forward to spend my European Voluntary Service in KERIC, to teach German and English, to make workshops in the UNDERGROUND and to travel through Europe. I like to work with the children and youngsters, to create ideas and to realize projects together. It is a great experience to meet volunteers from all over the world and to get to know a foreign country with all its wonderful peculiarities.

Hello, my name is Tanja, 20 years old, and I am from Austria. There I life near the lake of konstanz. For me family and friends are very important. My hobbies are skiing (what else – I'm Autrian ;-), dancing, reading a book, meet friends, etc. I like to do something with children and I hope I can show them something. I'm looking forward to the next months and I'm really curious what will happen. For me the EVS is a new experience and for sure it is a personal gain.

Ahoj! I am Daniel, came from Brazil. 10.000 km far from here. A wonderful country where I have my special family. And now I m going to be a volunteer in Keric. I like a lot play guitar and listen to music. I love people, expend time with them, and here I can learn a lot and share everything that I learned all life long. Things like capoeira, peteca, teach English and Spanish and everything that I can do. Here I can keep in contact with this Slovak an European culture, so diferent for me.

2. marca rady našich dobrovoľníkov rozšíril Romuald Vigneron z malého mestečka pri Lille. V KERICu bude hosťovať 11 mesiacov a jeho hlavnou činnosťou bude spolupráca s CVČ Klokočov. Bude pracovať s deťmi v tejto dedinke, pomáhať pri športových krúžkoch. Ale hlavne by rád s deťmi pripravil divadelné predstavenie o histórii Slovenska a Francúzska. Už od 24.3.2009 Romuald býva na Klokočove a objavuje krásy a ťažkosti žitia na Kysuciach a špeciálne v Klokočove :).

Hello. My name is Dario from Uurguay and I am 20 years old. I arrived here last Saturday and since that moment everything goes fantastic and everybody seems to be very kind, nice and friendly. I think that I am really lucky to be in this place becouse I enjoy so much knowing new people from differents countries. I am Giuseppe, 24 years old, from Calabria (Italy). I am volunteer in Keric (Slovakia), and I have took this decision when I started to feel myself incomplete. As it was something missing in my normal life as a student. We as humans have had the life's gift, and I have decided to spend it as a volunteer; by taking decisions with my heart. What more... My name is Ulrike Wucher and I come from Austria (Vorarlberg). I'm 19 years old and I have got two sisters and one brother. The family is very important for me and also the whole affinity. We have a very good relationship. I really like to go skiing, meet friends, read books, go out and do some funny things. I like to laugh and have fun. I smile a lot and I have a positive attitude! I really like to visit new countries, meet new people and also get to know new cultures. Now I'm enjoying the time in Slovakia and have fun.

Hello, i`m gerard. I`come from to barcelona (spain), i'm have 26 years old. I'm will stay in cadca 1 year. This is may dream, because i was need change something of my life and now i can say that is the most success choise in my life, and i recommend this experience everybody because in here i found people in the same situation than me and this help me every day to grow up as person and work with amazing person and the most important learn of the other culture as is slovakian culture. Hello, I'm Cédric! I come from Lyon, France. I stay 10 months here, from 1st septembre to 30 june, like EVS volunteer. I choice KERIC because I would like become teacher, maybe. But I have again lot of time for choice, I'm only 18. I like travel, discover new cultur, playing Water polo, swimming... I try to learn slovak language and I try to have a better english.
