Volker, a volunteer from Kenya having being trained enough by Keric on how to be animator cooperated with the City police in implementing this camp as leader. The main aim of this camp was to create an awarenes about drug abuse and security within homestead and the city. Above all, the camp provided an opportunity for the children to realize their potential and to have fun to the fullest.

 

The children had two session daily to swim in the ouitside pool and in the evening their taken through series of non-formal education about drug abuse and security in the homestead and the city. On the first evening the children had a lovely time at the discotheque where they displayed great dancing talents.

On the second evening children were taken through an African evening where they learnt several facts and important information about Africa particularly kenya. They were also taught how to sing some Swahili songs include the popular song "Jambo bwana". Volker led the children through this evening. The third and the fourth evening saw the children taken through a series of non-formal education about drug abuse and security in the city. This program was conducted by the city police and volker. This was a very interactive activity. The fifth day was a sport day and the children engaged in different sports activities. The sixth evening which was a climax of this summer camp saw the children show exemplorary talents in dancing, singing, drawing and choregraphy.

Finally, the camp came to end on the 14th of July. The children had great fun and knowledge from this Camp. This was a unique strength that Keric has shown in her ability to cooperate and work with other likeminded instutions within the Kysuce region.
